About Kelly Pickering, MA, CMHC, LPC
Hi there! My name is Kelly Pickering, and I am a local mental health therapist that serves in the Davis County area of Utah. I work primarily with children and adolescents ages 4-18, as well as young adults and adults. I hold a masters of the arts in forensic mental health counseling from John Jay College of Criminal justice located in NYC. I am a CMHC (clinical mental health counselor) in the state of Utah, as well as an LPC ( licensed professional counselor) in good standing with the state of Oregon. I tailor your treatment to your needs, and what would best suit you based on what what outcomes you are looking to achieve.
At Anchored in Hope Therapy I firmly believe that no matter how low life takes us we can still find our hope and anchor to it. I am so glad you have made the choice to to better your self. I understand that therapy is not an easy choice to seek, and I want you to know how proud I am of you for even just taking the time to consider coming in for treatment. Many say that my therapy approach is warm, inviting, safe, and engaging. I like to joke with my younger clients that I am a therapy ninja, and can utilize just about anything and help to turn into a therapy tool. I have used things such as art, music, and many other tools to help my clients learn to positive coping skills.

Therefore I tailor your treatment to your needs, and what would best suite you based on what what outcomes you are looking to achieve. I can provide individual and/family therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, EMDR (Eye moment desensitization reprocessing), Psychosis assessment and early intervention, and more.
